Our rye berries are popular for milling, malting, distilling, and the use of in grain bowls. To arrange the entire grain, simply measure out the required amount of rye berries into a saucepan and add three to four times as much water and salt to taste. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about an hour or until tender. Drain and set aside to chill, or serve straight away in a breakfast bowl, dinner grain bowl, or salad. Do that rye berry salad, and feel free to substitute no matter what herbs, nuts, or fruits you have got available.
